Location 116 Waihoehoe Road, Drury

This contract was for the bulk earthworks to enable the development of the 18.5 hectare site at 116 Waihoehoe Road for 357 residential dwellings with an interconnected network of roads, pedestrian and cycle paths, and significant areas of open space and enhanced wetlands and waterways.

As the Main Contractor, March Cato Developments’ work scope included site clearance; cutting and import of clay and stripping of topsoil and other earthworks; sediment controls; contamination remediation; and grassing and tidy up.

The scope of works expanded to include Stage 1 Civils with the following scale,

  • Over 30,000m2 of local and collector roads.
  • Installation of Structural Asphalt on new arterial roads.
  • Construction of an DN1800 Wastewater Pump Station
  • Installation of 1,100m of 280 OD PE Rising Main 
  • 3,360m of stormwater drainage.
  • 1,950m of wastewater drainage.
  • Cut to fill operations of 82,500m3; and import and placement of 39,000m3 of clean clay.
  • Installation of a Bridge over an existing wetland.

Stage 1 was completed and handover February 2025 and March Cato Developments have continued work by moving into Stage 2 of this exciting Development in Drury.
